The Building Supported Standard Series MRL offers additional capacities, speeds, and travel over the Self Supported models. Though Building Supported models require additional cost and coordination up-front, they allow for a much greater range of speeds, travel distance, capacities, and aesthetic options. This can be accomplished by pockets in a masonry hoistway wall or steel beams at the top of the shaft. Synergy Building Supported models rely on additional structure in your building for support. Synergy Building Supported: Standard Series Side-mounted counterweight (allows for front and rear door openings). Small footprint: Fits into a standard hydraulic hoistway.Compact and lightweight, Self Supported MRLs are the most economical way to outfit your building with energy efficient traction performance. Elevator loads are transferred from machine at the top of the hoistway to the guide rails, ending in the pit floor below. Self-supporting MRLs are ideal for wood-framed buildings, existing construction, or structures not intended to carry the loads of an elevator system. Not willing to compromise on this, we will have to take more time than we have planned. Our initial reason to build a new factory is based on our mission to be the best almond processor in Europe, fair value for a good and healthy product and meeting our customer requirements for quality and service. Depending on the new regulations and possible incentives given to make the current non economical viable options more interesting, we will take the time to examine the possibilities for the near future. The questions we will be facing on this issue are not easily answered as much of it is still unknown. The Dutch government has made commitments to reduce the CO2 output drastically and at this moment it is uncertain what the effect will be for us with the new regulations that they will enforce on the industry. New technologies are available but not necessarily economically viable. Our processing and specifically our product dryers are using enormous quantities of natural gas. The third reason is the energy transition in respect of sustainability. We believe that this will enable us to handle the engineering challenges without making too much compromises to our aim on production efficiency and quality targets. Suppliers of construction materials cannot keep up with demand causing delays in planning and a timely finishing of construction.įacing the risk of heading into the main season in 2020 and the big uncertainty of being able to supply our customers with the product they require we decided to postpone the start of the construction work. Building companies are facing a big shortage in workers. This off course we will have to sort out prior to our main season starting at the end of July.Ī big issue that we have been hit hard with is the current situation in the construction sector. Having a realistic view on things we accept that we will face difficulties with hardware and software. The first qtr being off season would enable us, get acquainted and trained with the new lines and procedures. We have been targeting the 1 st quarter of 2019 to start the construction work to be sure that in the 1 st qtr of 2020 we would be able to start up the new lines before moving the current processing lines. These challenges need to be dealt with first in the coming period before starting any of the construction work.Ī secondary reason but not less difficult to handle is the time pressure that we face as a seasonal production company. Primary reason for this is that engineering of the production lines in combination with the engineering of the building brought up some new challenges that we did not foresee earlier. The Synergy Food new factory construction work that should have started with the groundwork and the building foundation in the last week of March 2019 is put on hold.
